End‑to‑End Isolation Control, Including LOTO and LOTOTO
The OpreX™ Control of Work Isolation Management module provides a comprehensive yet intuitive solution for managing the safe isolation of hazardous energy sources across maintenance, operations and engineering activities. By ensuring all energy sources associated with equipment are identified, controlled and verified before work begins, organisations can significantly reduce operational risk while improving compliance and workforce safety.
As part of the integrated OpreX Control of Work platform, Isolation Management works seamlessly alongside Permit to Work, Risk Assessment and Operations Management processes, creating a connected safe system of work. This unified approach provides complete visibility of isolation status, associated work activities and critical safety controls throughout the entire safe-work lifecycle.
The system fully integrates with OpreX Control of Work permitting and work execution processes, allowing isolations to be created as standalone activities or directly linked to permits, tasks and operational workflows.
Users can create detailed, step-by-step isolation procedures for any type of equipment or work activity, ensuring all required isolation and reinstatement actions are clearly defined and consistently executed. Isolation procedures can be developed from scratch or generated from standardised templates, helping organisations promote best practices and reduce preparation time.
Templates and completed isolation procedures can be stored within a centralised library for future use, enabling proven isolation strategies to be reused, adapted and applied across similar assets and facilities.
To ensure safety throughout the isolation lifecycle, all activities are governed by competence-based workflows, role-specific responsibilities and electronic approvals. Critical isolation actions require appropriate authorisation and sign-off, providing full traceability and accountability at every stage.
Real-time visibility of isolation status enables operations, maintenance and supervisory teams to understand the impact of active isolations on work execution, helping to improve coordination, reduce delays and maintain safe plant operations.
Digital Permit to Work is your front-line method of keeping people safe. Providing risk identification, mitigation, and communication key components of safe Control of Work.
Mobile execution for safer, more efficient field operations Field Assistant is the mobile enablement layer within OpreX™ Control of Work, extending digital Control of Work processes directly to the point of work.
The solution can be configured to use plot plans/maps hosted by WMS (Web Map Service) servers.
Reporting in OpreX Control of Work allows the user to create and run reports using current and historical data derived from all Job, Task, Isolation and Personnel activity in the system. For example, a report could be created showing all permits completed in an area over a given time period.
