HSE System Implementer

Yokogawa RAP Limited has an exciting new opportunity for a highly competent HSE & Control of Work Software Implementation and Configuration Specialist to join a growing Implementation and Projects team at our offices in Swansea.

As a HSE & Control of Work Software Implementation and configuration specialist, you will build on your existing health, safety and environment skills, or Business Analyst/Technical skills, as you deliver project services, and provide application support for our customers.

Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will review the customers operating requirements and create these as workable configurations within the software. As part of this, you will actively engage with customers to deliver valued and consistent customer service.

What will I need to be considered for this HSE System Implementer vacancy?

You will act as a role model for all issues concerning HSE, identifying corrective and preventative actions via events such as knowledge fairs, workshops, and networking.

Your duties will include, although will not be limited to:

  • Collaborating - writing and reviewing design specifications with customers to provide customised solutions, driving risk reduction, and performance improvement.
  • Reviewing - researching and updating the knowledge base routinely with information from industry bodies regarding best HSE practices.
  • Attending and hosting meetings and workshops with customers to discuss requirements.
  • Assisting in the implementation of software solutions by providing consultancy and training services to new and existing system users.
  • Creating action plans to resolve customer technical problems.
  • Suggesting best practice and performance improvements by working closely with Key Users.
  • Ensuring the needs of customers are met by working directly with sales and product development teams.
  • Our Requirements - HSE & Control of Work Software Implementation and configuration specialist.
  • Previous experience gained within a fast-paced manufacturing / process environment working as a Safety advisor, business analyst, project manager, shift supervisor or related control of work role.
  • Detail-oriented with a creative mindset for identifying solutions.
  • Experience transformation resulting from IT systems initiatives.
  • Background experience of managing and maintaining HSE management systems with knowledge of OHSAS 18001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 and OSHA.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate, or equivalent experience would be advantageous.
  • Innovative.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Willing to work flexibly to meet customer demand, you’ll be occasionally required to visit customer sites outside of the UK.

Although not essential, a degree level qualification in an Engineering or Science-related subject and awareness of IOSH, ATEX and COSSH.

  • Competitive salary and incentive package depending on experience.
  • Permanent contract, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible working hours available between 7:30am and 6:30pm. Core hours are 10:30am to 3:30pm.
  • Superb benefits including company pension contribution up to 12.5% dependent upon criteria, Private Medical Insurance and Healthcare Scheme, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays with increments based on length of service.

You’ll be based out of our office in Swansea City Centre, although flexibility for some home working will be considered.

What will this role of C# .Net Software Developer entail?

Working as part of our development team of fifteen, as C#, .Net Software Developer you’ll work on all stages of the development lifecycle and support our specialised software.

What will I need to be considered for this Software Developer vacancy?

Proven programming experience in the following:

  • C# .NET Core / .NET Framework
  • Knockout.JS
  • TypeScript / Vanilla JavaScript
  • LINQ
  • TSQL
  • AJAX / REST / WebAPI
  • HTML5 / CSS3 / LESS
  • SQL Management Studio
  • Visual Studio

You will need to be competent using front end technologies, C#.NET and SQL and have experience of all stages of IT product design. You’ll be a self-motivated team player able to work unsupervised to tight deadlines and have excellent communication skills with a good standard of written and spoken English.

What will I receive in return?

Salary: Level depending upon experience

Attractive benefits: Pension with company contribution up to 12.5% dependent upon criteria, private medical insurance and healthcare scheme, 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays with extra holidays based on length of service.
