System Implementer

About the opportunity:

We are now looking for a talented individual to join the implementation and projects team to deliver services and provide application support. With your HSE background, you will build on your existing skills while becoming an expert in solutions and services supplied by Yokogawa RAP to deliver successful projects.

You will act as a role model for all matters concerning health, safety and environment issues and review HSE incidents and near misses. You will identify corrective and preventative actions via knowledge fairs and workshops, networking, communities of practice etc. which can be captured within our knowledge base.

This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your talent and creativity and help grow Yokogawa RAPs expertise in Health and Safety & Control of Work best practices.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Customer consultancy and configuration services:

You will attend and host meetings and workshops with customers to discuss their requirements and maintain a good awareness of the risk profile. You’ll write, review and collaborate on design specifications to provide customised configurable solutions implementing Control of Work workflows to drive risk reduction and performance improvement.

Knowledge Management:

At the core of the solution is a knowledge base of safety and control of work standards. Part of your role will be to review, research, and update this knowledge base on a routine basis with information from industry bodies, best practices applied by different industries, and communicate this information to users of the software.

Training course delivery:

A vital phase of every project is the onboarding of new users of the system. You will also assist in the process of implementing software solutions that form part of the critical management systems for HSE by providing training services.

Customer relationships:

Through the helpdesk, existing customers have a direct line to communicate with the team to ask for advice and request feedback on questions and best practice use of our solution. You will be an integral member of the team and assist with setting up an action plan to resolve customer technical problems.

Collaboration:

The Implementation Teams work directly with both sales and product development teams, supporting sales activities with client demonstrations and informing the development team of the latest industry trends and customer feedback.

About your skills:

You will have a degree in a related discipline, Engineering or Science or equivalent experience, and NEBOSH Diploma in Health & Safety and Environmental or equivalent experience.

It is essential that you have:

  • Previous experience of working within a fast-paced manufacturing or process environment
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and auditing
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and OHSAS 18001
  • Experience in ensuring sites are working towards site SHEQ and environmental requirements
  • Experience in managing and maintaining HSE management systems
  • OSHA Experience
  • Full driving licence

It is highly desirable that you have an engineering background and aware of the following regulations:

  • IOSH
  • ATEX
  • COSHH

You may be required to visit customer sites outside the UK on occasions and therefore will need to work flexibly to meet customer demands.

What will I receive in return?

Salary: Level depending upon experience (HAY Grade 13)

Attractive benefits: Pension with company contribution up to 12.5% dependent upon criteria, private medical insurance and healthcare scheme, 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays with extra holidays based on length of service.

Working hours: 37 hours per week Monday to Friday. Flexible hours available between 7:30am and 6:30pm. Core hours are 10:30am – 3:30pm.

Contract type: Permanent.

Location: Swansea, office based (post lockdown). However, homeworking will be available by agreement.

Conditions: Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.

What will this role of C# .Net Software Developer entail?

Working as part of our development team of fifteen, as C#, .Net Software Developer you’ll work on all stages of the development lifecycle and support our specialised software.

What will I need to be considered for this Software Developer vacancy?

Proven programming experience in the following:

  • C# .NET Core / .NET Framework
  • Knockout.JS
  • TypeScript / Vanilla JavaScript
  • LINQ
  • TSQL
  • AJAX / REST / WebAPI
  • HTML5 / CSS3 / LESS
  • SQL Management Studio
  • Visual Studio

You will need to be competent using front end technologies, C#.NET and SQL and have experience of all stages of IT product design. You’ll be a self-motivated team player able to work unsupervised to tight deadlines and have excellent communication skills with a good standard of written and spoken English.
